& Mary Coombs

In 2006, we started our own floral design company, A Garden Party, designing floral arrangements for weddings and events in the tri-state area.

Together with our team, we now produce and design over 100 events a year and are known for our garden style, and attention to detail.

We are the party sisters!

The History Of Our Space

Our journey with A Milkhouse Party began when we were children. Our late grandfather, Leon M. Tice, was a dairy farmer. He and our grandmother Arlene moved to the 93 acre farm in 1959. What is now A Milkhouse Party was built in 1977 and was Poppop’s fully functioning milking parlor! He loved his life on the farm, and we have wonderful memories spending time with him there.

This was never just where he "worked" - it was his life.

Our hearts were broken when Poppop passed away in 2010. For years, the milkhouse was used for storage and it pained us to sit back and watch it collect dust. Needing some love, the farm was purchased by John and Mary Coombs and we are proud to revitalize Poppop’s beloved farm. After a few years of dreaming, cleaning, heavy lifting, repairs, paint and patience, we were able to re-open the milkhouse doors as a creative refuge in 2015. Now a venue for private parties and workshops, this is also a place where our mother Melanie can go and find her father again.

We invite you to come feel the love here!
