Farm to Table Date Night

Always Growing

Thinking about our Second Annual Farm-to-Table Date Night gives us the same wave of warmth and comfort as last year’s event. This occasion seems to be the highlight of the year at A Milkhouse Party - it’s almost as if it was its calling. All of the history in agriculture, community, our love for flowers and design seem to culminate for this experience and we are bursting with pride in sharing it with you.

I think the best part about having an annual event is the way that we, and our patrons, can see our growth. As the owners, there was definitely smoother sailing behind the scenes in organizing and fine-tuning the professional details. We’ve learned so much and met the wonderful vendors who participated in this year’s event, ensuring that even our most loyal guests would have a whole new experience. While we are so thrilled with how this evening played out, it makes us even more excited to see what the future holds.

Fantastic Friendors

Huge thanks to Hog Day Afternoon for bringing an absolute "WOW” factor to the cuisine. And we mean, wow. The menu was so carefully curated, so special and delicious you could taste the love that was used to make it. This entire event centered around the food, and these incredible chefs did not disappoint.

Also, we can’t say it enough. Our photographer friends are priceless to us in the way they can gift us with such tangible memories and tokens from all our hard work and planning. These images from KSS Photography are treasured - we love how much she loves our space and the care she takes in capturing all of the many corners and details throughout.

The Decor

When discussing the decor for a lot of our events, we love going to Pinterest to drum up some inspiration. Any one of our attendees can attest to the fact that we love a good theme, and our Farm to Table dinner was no exception. We wanted to encompass a laid-back vibe that was still intimate and special, a space that would make people want to refresh, recharge and really take in the moment. We had a lot of really fun details, like our re-purposed chicken feeders and vintage watering cans that were used as vases, and iron hoops that served as a backdrop for the drink display. Even the candle holders were goblets filled with flower heads, proving that no corner is too small to show a little floral love!

The Entertainment

Kiesa Dickson was back again to strum along and serenade the crowd with her musical skills. We’re so proud of this young lady for her performing skills, and love that she has become a regular source of talent in our garden!

Guests had indoor and outdoor seating options, and as you can see here, the evening was perfect for the outdoor tables! There’s nothing quite like a sunset on the farm, and we were happy to provide the venue to enjoy it.

Thank you so much for everyone who participated in this year’s dinner! Vendors, staff members and guests are all equally important in making this such a success, and it means the world to have met so many who share the same love we have for creativity and community. Love to you all!
