Princess Tea Party
We love a themed party.
We get so much enjoyment filling the blank spaces of A Milkhouse Party when there is a theme to go by. Our Princess Tea Party was an especially fun event to decorate for, because we could let loose with our little girl indulgences in a way that was totally acceptable and appreciated.
Since the Guest of Honor was going to be Belle of Beauty and the Beast, we modified our princess decor to represent her movie. Red roses in cloches, tea pots, candelabras and books were placed throughout the venue as a nod to her famous film. Did we also have a Disney Princess Pandora Station playing? Oh yeah, we definitely did. Scroll through to see more details from this fun-filled event!
A Meal Fit for Royalty
There's a reason we keep going back to Rode's Catering for our events. Their professionalism, presentation and delicious cuisine make them 10/10 in the trifecta of culinary requirements. A variety of tea sandwiches, fruit, muffins and other goodies made sure none of our guests went hungry.
Slow clap for our staff member, Ashley, who drew this amazing chalk art to go with our Beauty and the Beast theme! This was definitely a stand out piece of decor at our food display.
We'd be lying if we said breaking out our collection of vintage tea pots wasn't part of the motivation to regularly host tea parties. Can you blame us?? Look how cute these are!
Be Our Guest, Be Our Guest
Our dining area was set with hanging roses along our cafe lights, scattered candles, vintage china and pretty napkin folding. The delicate decor balanced with the rustic setting of the Milkhouse is what makes our space so unique and welcoming for our guests.
A Throne for the Princess
This stage area has proven to be our best addition in all of the renovations that have happened the past few years. Workshops, parties, showers, or any other event always seem to center around who is featured on this platform. For Belle, we incorporated all the classic props from the film, as well as our heart-shaped velvet chair as her makeshift throne.
From the moment she walked through the door, Belle put a spell on the rest of us with her grace and her charm!
We hired Belle through Layla Marie Princess Playtime, and oh my goodness we would do it again in a heartbeat. We truly had a Disney Princess gliding among us - she never broke character and had endless amounts of games, activities, and interactive trivia with all of our miniature princesses. She spoke with a musical tone only heard in professionals, and her singing voice was something like you'd hear off a soundtrack! We definitely give them a 5 star review!
These tea parties are always a huge hit, and I think it's because of the special formula that bonds children with adults. The children think they're acting like adults, and the adults feel like they get to revisit childhood. Having a princess theme added a layer of magic that even we couldn't fully anticipate.
"Mom, are you seeing this?!"
