Mindfulness at the Milkhouse
If you follow the social media posts for A Milkhouse Party, you'll notice that our frequency, authenticity and variety has increased dramatically in the past year. You may have also noticed this cute little face popping up at events or in selfies at our venue.
This is Amanda! Amanda is our social media ambassador and marketing coordinator for A Milkhouse Party. She has played a huge role in promoting our events, our services and helping to advertise the roots and mission of our special little venue. She joined our team almost a year ago, but the way she so naturally fit in makes us feel like we've known her for much longer.
The Perfect Fit
The reason Amanda is such a valuable member to our team isn't just because of her savvy behind the screen. Outside of A Milkhouse Party, she also holds the title of Mindfulness and Anxiety Relief Coach. She has a passion in teaching others to overcome the anxiety they face, which holds them back from enjoying many everyday experiences. Since A Milkhouse Party is all about discovering something new about yourself and making meaningful connections through creativity, it makes perfect sense that it would attract an employee so in tune with the significance of these practices.
Learn Her Ways
We've learned that her grounded calmness isn't just contagious - it's teachable. We strongly encourage you to check out her website, Life Lessons and Lavender for eloquent explanations on facing mental obstacles as well as offers one-on-one sessions to help overcome the epidemic of Anxiety. Amanda's background as a high school teacher is apparent in the way she's able to explain the unsettling feeling anxiety brings as well as its roots and ways to beat it. Her Instagram, Anxiousto_Fearless, gives followers a glimpse of some of the practices and products she uses.
Take a few minutes to watch this video to get an idea about the benefits of consciously practicing mindfulness.
We're brewing up some ideas to use A Milkhouse Party's platform to continue sharing Amanda's insight in becoming the best version of yourself. I think we could all benefit from a little mental pep talk every now and then - stay tuned!
